The local hall will be available on the Saturday night from 7pm. An Amercian supper has been planned, so if you are attending, then please bring a plate of food along and shave with everyone.
There will also be a few fun games to enjoy on the evening too.

NFOL Block Booking 2013
NFOL Block Booking 2013
If you are thinking of going to the NFOL this year, and are not on the working party. Elaine will be doing the Block Booking as usual. Solent are looking for people to decorate a street to uphold our reputation. Unfortunately a number of us that normally decorate will be in the working party area not in the Solent block booking, but Solent will give you as much help, if you are interested you can email Eleian at elaine.r.simmonds@gmail.com or ring 02380405370 and maybe Solent could arrange a meeting on the Saturday of the dinner dance weekend at Swanore College (23/2/2013)
Solent DA's Charities 2012
For 2012 Solent DA will be supporting the following Charities.
Piam Brown ward Southampton - The Piam Brown unit is the regional paediatric oncology and haematology centre for the Wessex region. The unit is based within the child health directorate on the top floor of Southampton General Hospital. We care for children from birth to 16 years of age with all types of cancer. Our aim is to care and support the child and the whole family.
The Rosemary Foundation - In March 1997, the Sue Ryder Home, Bordean House, Langrish, Hampshire, a Palliative Care Unit, closed. The unit had provided for cancer and other patients through continuing care for those at their lives’ end, as well as respite care, symptom control and convalescence, supported by counselling services for patients and their families.
Following the closure, local general practitioners and staff from Bordean House felt there was a resulting gap in the care offered to terminally ill patients, suffering not necessarily from cancer but from other chronically debilitating illnesses as well. It was agreed on the need for a continuing palliative care nursing service in the area.
BASICS - BASICS is a strong and vibrant professional association that brings together a wide range of individuals and maintains the driving force behind many of today’s leading developments in pre-hospital care.
